HERD SHARE
Texas prohibits the sale of unpasteurized milk for human consumption except, of course, through a herd share agreement or a licensed raw dairy.
A herd share agreement allows you to purchase a share of a milking herd and each week collect your share of milk from your very own cow— either delivered to a weekly drop point or picked up on farm.
Once you are ready, you will be asked to pay a fee for your share. This covers all legalities involved with owning part of a dairy cow. Once you've signed the herd-share agreement, you will pay the monthly fee for boarding/feeding the cow that aligns with the share you chose.
If you ever choose to cancel your membership, your membership fee will be returned to you minus processing fees.
COSTS:
There will be a one time fee of $48 to $32 dependent on the share you choose. A signed contract for access to the monthly membership to receive milk weekly. (This includes your glass bottles.)
FULL SHARE $64 MONTHly
THIS INCLUDES ONE gallon of milk A WEEK every month. Pick up will be at your designated drop location If you do not pick up on your designated day and you do not notify in advance- no refund will be given/and or milk given out.
half share $32 monthly
THIS INCLUDES one half gallon of milk a week every month. Pick up will be at your designated drop location. If you do not pick up on your designated day and you do not notify in advance- no refund will be given/and or milk given out.
Add ons:
If available, herd share members will be able to purchase other dairy products that are available like butter, cream, yogurt.
